AML

The AML is an obscuration meter and is used for concentration measurements of aerosols, smoke or dusts. A focused infrared light beam crosses the measurement distance twice and is attenuated by particles present in the air.

We use the AML for smoke detector tests with our EN 54 test tunnel to measure concentration ramps. Further applications are ambient air monitoring or monitoring of particle concentration in exhaust ducts.

A special variant, the AML-F, is also available for measurements in fire test rooms. It is equipped with a carbon fiber case to withstand the high temperatures.
